Mission The mission of the Centre for Strategic Economic Studies “Vojvodina-CESS" is defined in 2004, in the founding document adopted by the Assembly of the AP Vojvodina. The Centre is established by the Executive Council of the AP Vojvodina and University of Novi Sad, as one of fourteen priority programmes defined in the Integrated Regional Development Plan of the AP Vojvodina, with goal to improve applied macroeconomic research in Vojvodina.
Since 2007, the Centre for Strategic Economic Studies is one of the measures supported by the Austrian Development Agency - ADA, within the project “Strategic Partnership in Support of the Integrated Regional Development Plan of the AP Vojvodina”. As result, CESS has established cooperation with two relevant institutes from Vienna - Institute for Advanced Studies - IHS and Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies - WIIW.
Today, CESS is well established as a think-tank institution of the Provincial Government with role in improving scientific capacities in the field of analysis of economic trends, economic forecasts and regional planning.
CESS mission
Since CESS is more and more present and recognized in the international research community, in cooperation with colleagues Daniela Grozea-Helmenstein, from Institute for Advanced Studies - HIS, Vladimir Gligorov and Josef Pöschl, from Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies -WIIW, a publication has been created that presents to the public mission and vision of Vojvodina-CESS.
